Birthday fun!

Today is Hallie's birthday! (and yes, her actual real birthday) People always ask me "How do you know her real birthday?" I've had her since she was a puppy, and I have her records. Anyways, every year on her birthday, I take her to Petco and we get the number of presents for her age. She turned 5 today, so she got 5 presents! :) I'm not sure what I will do once she turns like 15..lol maybe get her a box of 15 bones or something. But for now, that's how we are doing it and always have. I have thrown her a birthday party too and all that but I honestly didn't have time this year. But, she LOVES the store! She actually got more than 5 things because her clothes were on clearance. So she got a green dress, a green and brown hoodie that says "alpha dog", 2 different kinds of treats, a new rope, and 2 new squeak toys. She is spoiled rotten, lol.

Anyways, just thought I would update everyone on her bday, she had lots of fun!! I will post pictures later of her in her new clothes! :)

TWI (Texting While Intoxicated)

When I am just sitting here with nothing to do, I read TWI and it always makes me laugh! Some of the things on there are completely stupid and not worth reading and then others are hilarious! In case you have never heard of this app, let me explain.. People send in drunk text messages or picture mail that they find in their phones or people send to them. Ever having a bad day? get this app! :)

to be annoyed by the fact that the only time you cannot fall asleep is when you have to get up in the morning.

In Tyler for the weekend!

So yesterday was my girlfriend Tori's birthday.  She is from Tyler, Tx so she wanted to go out there for the weekend and hang out with her friends and old roommates.  We headed out Friday afternoon and when we got there some of her friends couldn't make it out with us, but we still had a lot of fun!

We went to a club called Decisions that night with some friends and danced and had a good time.  And of course after a long night of that much fun we had to go eat at like 4 in the morning :)

Saturday we got up and went to her friend's wedding reception which was pretty cool. Very pretty too! They were so happy and so in love!

So saturday night we were supposed to go out again for her birthday to a bar called Outlaws.  But, still recovering from the night before, we decided to stay in and watch movies.  If you want to see a really good funny movie you should see

Hall Pass :)

Definitely worth watching!  We woke up Sunday morning and went to this AMAZING frozen custard shop called Andy's and almost made ourselves sick, haha!

I did have a lot of fun but I can say that I am very happy to be back.  Hallie Jo missed us so much.  My dad said that she was moping around the whole time we were gone. :( poor baby!

It's always nice to get away from your everyday life for a few days every once in a while, so I did enjoy it! But, like I said before, I can't stay away too long.  I am so glad to be back! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend as well!

This awful beautiful life..

Here's a little about me, in case you were wondering ;)

• I am 22 years old.
• I have a chihuahua/rat terrier mix that is the cutest little girl you will ever see.
• I love reading, although I don't get to do it too often anymore. I am currently reading Glass by Ellen Hopkins. For whatever reason, books about addiction or drama always interest me lol! :)
• I am a very happy person, although I do tend to get anxiety quite often.
• I am ABSOLUTELY addicted to quotes and music. I guess it's the fact that no matter what you are going through or how happy you are, there is someone out there that has been in your shoes, felt how you feel. Music and quotes prove that, I think.
• I am about to start a class in September to become a dental assistant. I have a long way to go to get to my main goal which is becoming a dentist, but dental assisting is a good stepping stone in the right direction! :)
• My mom moved away a couple years ago to Louisiana. After that she decided she wanted to move to Kentucky which is 14 hours away. It has been really hard on everyone in the family because things just aren't the same but, good news is she will be moving back September 5th. :)) I honestly cannot explain how excited I am. Excited to have her here with us again, close enough to visit when I need a mother/daughter talk, because phone calls are definitely not the same. And most of all, I am SO excited about momma's cooking. ;)
• I have some really amazing friends, but very few are true. As with anyone, you always have that big group of friends and only a select few you can depend on.
• I think everything is either a lesson or a blessing.
• I try to stay positive about as many situations as I can, but no one is perfect.
• I strongly believe that you get what you give, and in order to have something you've never had, you must do something you've never done.

I'm not really sure exactly what it is I am supposed to be blogging about, but I just guessed that this would be a good starting point! I am going to try and post a couple times a week for now, and I promise to keep you interested! :)
